Cinderella and the Four Knights

The title says it all; a damsel in distress goes through a rough patch after the death of her mother and to make things worse she has a new step-mother and sister who could care no less about her. Juggling between multiple part time jobs is Eun Ha Won (Park So Dam) who is saving up for college in order to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. Being ‘Cinderella’ there is no doubt that there are more problems to come!

Eun Ha Won (Park So Dam)

Unlike the classic where Cinderella meets her destined prince and lives happily ever after, this one has 4 Knights. After a series of events Ha Won is invited to stay in the Sky House along with the 3 rich but spoilt grandsons of Chairman Kang; owner of the powerful ‘Haneul Group’. For those who adored Boys over Flowers, this drama will be instantly lovable. It’s the kind of story with romance, fantasy and Chaebols that will instantly win the hearts of its viewers

Despite being related by blood, none of the grandsons can stand each other and this is where Eun Ha Won comes in. After witnessing that she is no ordinary woman, the Chairman puts in a special request for her and invites her to live in the Sky House as a part-timer. It is up to her to change the arrogant personalities of the three and make them into better people

T'o make the plot more interesting, the Chairman provides her with a series of tasks and failure to complete any will lead to her termination upon which she must leave the house immediately. In the eprocess she befriends the three in her own way and spark fly in the air. However, there was only one rule upon entering the Sky House, 'Dating is strictly forbidden'

Kang Hyun Min (Ahn Jae Hyun)

One might remember him as the younger brother of Jun Ji Hyun from the drama 'My Love from the Stars'. Back in the drama he was portrayed as a troubled and rebellious child and in this one he has advanced to a whole new level of being a snob.Being the eldest grandson of the Haneul Group, he is an arrogant brat who could care no less about people’s feelings and a total player who keeps pushing away the only woman who possibly loves him despite it. He makes Ha Won an offer she can’t refuse; make a Million Won for pretending to be his fiancé for a night.

Kang Ji Woon (Jung II Wong)

A man struggling to pay his debts was transformed into a millionaire overnight. A total rebel on the outside but a soft and caring person on the inside. He befriends Park Hye Ji (Son Na-Eun) who is Hyun Min’s childhood friend and is always there for her when he (Hyun Min) treats her like trash. He is fascinated with cars and worked at a mechanic shop before he became a chaebol. He might be a total jerk at times but as the drama progresses you get to see a childish side to him

Kang Seo Woo ( Lee Jung Shin)

The bassist from CN Blues plays the youngest of them and is a famous singer song writer who is loved by millions of girls in Korea. A kind hearted fellow by nature and perhaps is the first one whom Ha Won befriends in the Sky House

And now for the fourth

Lee Yoon-Sung (Choi Min)

He is considered as the fourth knight who is the secretary and bodyguard of Chairman Kang. A compassionate person who takes good care of the cousins and at times acts as a brotherly figure to them. He also deeply cares for Eun Ha Won and his favourite dialogue is 'It is the Chairman's orders'. Initially you may think that his role is that of a boring secretary but don't let those good looks and charms fool you. Wait till the end of the series and there lies a surprise for all of you which is bound to make you jump off your seats

So Na Eun plays the role of Park Hye Ji who is the childhood friend of Hyun-Min. She has had a crush on him ever since she was a kid but his attitude towards her suddenly changes and he turns aloof. Although initially detesting Ha Won for being Hyun Min's fiance, she ends up becoming a close friend. She is often the source of conflict between Hyun Min and Ji Won

Some of the best and funny moments from the drama....

Cinderella and the Four Knights is in a league of its own. After dramas such as Doctors, Uncontrollably Fond and W, this is one that will divert your mind from all that seriousness where one can just sit back ad enjoy an everyday romance filled with comedy! There are many funny moments in the drama that is bound to make you fall off your seats and the principles that Ha Won teaches to those three are something that can be inculcated in our everyday lives as well! I've noticed that in most K-Drama the fashion sense is on point and this one is no less. Park Hye Ji being a designer is shown wearing the most chic and beautiful clothes and the same goes for the 3 grandsons, although Ha Won is poor and is mostly seen wearing her tracksuit, her dress in episode 2 is the most stunning one ever seen.

Just like how in Boys Over Flowers, Gum Jan Di and Gu Jun Pyo had to go through a lot due to difference in class and status, find out what happens when Ha Won is faced with the same situation! Will it be a happily ever after and the main question which everybody is dying to know- who will she end up with? Find out for yourself by tuning into Cinderella and the Four Knights
Finally, I would rate this drama a 7.5/10 ^_^
